Normally, when you're deciding what to do with your money, you either have to figure it out yourself (but not many people know how it all works), or you can use a financial adviser (but they can cost a lot of money).

In fact, there are millions of people in Britain who would benefit from having financial advice but who have been unable to access or afford it. They’re caught in what we call the ‘Financial Advice Gap’.

As a result, many of these people get caught in financial cycles that they struggle to get out of. It could be running out of money at the end of every month, not knowing how and where to invest, or leaving money and savings in poorly performing investments.

What is the role?

OpenMoney are seeking a test professional who has experience working within highly skilled Agile teams. They will have vast experience and been involved in all aspects of software testing, ranging from manual through to automated framework development and implementation.

Working within a fast-changing environment, they can act as lead or advisor, with a strategic understanding of testing trends and technologies while keeping up to date on emerging tools and techniques. The role will require that they can build frameworks based on the needs of the team and work across different tools and software languages, coordinating, managing, and executing a variety of testing techniques, manual and automated, within a project or programme.

They will be highly motivated, eager to learn new skills while keen to upskill and Mentor others, and adept at problem solving. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential when joining our established mobile development team, where it is required to interact closely with internal and external senior stakeholders.

What will I be responsible for?

Act as an advocate for quality in all aspects of the development life cycle
Apply, design, and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks for mobile and desktop platforms.
Enhance existing test frameworks and develop automated tests within current projects
Advise, plan, analyse and verify the best manual and automated testing approaches
Execute a variety of testing activities, manual and automated
Document test results, report, and verify software bug fixes to accept automation/manual test criteria.
Be involve with product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for end user requirements.
Coordinate with Project Teams and Business stake holders during the development lifecycle to attain a high-quality output, that is in line with requirements.
Analyse performance test requirements and develop test plans against requirements.
Complete performance testing cycles and publish results for project teams/business stake holders.
Establish test strategy for manual and automated test suites.
Lead software defect tracking and report release status to stakeholders.
Coach and mentor other team members.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and work instructions

What are we looking for?

Extensive proven work experience in software quality assurance, performing manual and automated tasks, specifically against Android and IOS devices
Adept and able to lead, or advise, project teams/QA members using different testing methodologies, techniques, tools and processes while following best practice
Experience building automated test frameworks specifically for mobile device testing on IOS and Android
Solid knowledge of SQL
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Understanding CI/CD principles
Experience using TFS/Octopus in Azure environment
Experience with performance and/or security testing and tools e.g. Burp suite, jmeter etc
